Donor age and breed determine mesenchymal stromal cell characteristics
The Veterinary Stem Cell Research Unit at Ghent University has just published a groundbreaking study: "Donor age and breed determine mesenchymal stromal cell characteristics."
Led by Prof. Dr. Catharina De Schauwer, with the participation of provaxs chairman Prof. Dr. Bert Devriendt this research highlights how donor age and breed significantly influence MSC proliferation, immunophenotype, and differentiation potential—critical factors for optimizing MSC-based therapies.
These findings are key to advancing experimental and preclinical studies in regenerative medicine. A major step forward for veterinary and translational research! 🧬🔬
